The legendary Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson has been fired from his position as the club's global ambassador, The Telegraph reports.

According to the source, one of United's owners, Jim Ratcliffe, decided to terminate Ferguson's multimillion-dollar deal with the club, continuing the policy of reducing payments at the Mancunian club. A total of 250 employees are to be laid off.
