Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge spoke about the Reds' vice-captain, defender Trent Alexander-Arnold. The 25-year-old Englishman's current contract with the Merseyside club runs until the summer of 2025.
"The situation with Trent is not clear to me. He loves Liverpool and would like to become the team captain one day. But in the long run, it will all depend on what Trent wants. I think his contract should have been sorted out a long time ago. But perhaps he is attracted by the prospect of new experience in Spain," Aldridge was quoted as saying by the British online edition of the Liverpool Echo.
