Honored Coach of Ukraine Myron Markevych shared his thoughts on the recent matches of the Ukrainian national team in the League of Nations.
"The Ukrainian team played much better than in the two opening matches. It is especially worth noting the reliable play of our defense. In the previous two matches, Ukraine attacked well but played poorly in defense. And now it's the other way around: we acted without failures in defense, but did not create many scoring chances. Let's be honest, Artem Dovbyk scored the only goal after the Czechs had awarded a penalty. Still, I'm glad to see that Serhii Rebrov's team is slowly recovering from the crisis. At least the guys acted with dedication, which was not the case in the opening matches.
We desperately need to get six points in the final two matches. There is no other option. Ukraine is quite capable of this task. And there is no need to make a problem of the fact that we will play away. We actually play all our matches on foreign soil. In November, I hope that Tsygankov, Mykolenko, Zinchenko and other players who are currently injured will help us," Markevych said.
