The popular magazine FourFourTwo has compiled a rating of coaches who in their careers have led teams from the city where they were born. The legendary coach of Dynamo Kyiv, Valeriy Lobanovskiy, also found a place in this list.
"Valeriy Lobanovsky, a hugely influential coach known for his intense pressing, played for and coached Dynamo Kyiv.
As coach, he led the Ukrainian giants to more than 20 major trophies in three periods, including the Cup Winners' Cup in 1974/75 and 1985/86, as well as leading the club to the semi-finals of the European Cup / Champions League three times," is how the publication referred to Mater.
