— In the first half, it was noticeable that “Shakhtar” attacked a lot, while you were practically sitting on your half of the field. What was the reason for this?
— “Shakhtar” was fresher than us; they had two more days of rest. We were a bit tired. Plus, they need the result more right now, so that’s how the game went.
— Did having two days less of rest affect the performance?
— Of course, we arrived only yesterday. And immediately to the training base; there was a training session in the evening. And we had only a couple of hours to rest.
— Overall, what were your impressions of the atmosphere at the stadium? Did it feel like a real Classic?
— Yes, a few days before the match, it was already felt that it was a Classic, that it was a derby. Everyone was in such anticipation, there was such excitement around the match. So yes, today the atmosphere was great.
— What were the coach's instructions for the second half? And how much did Krysykiv’s red card help you?
— The instructions were to continue playing, to find our moment, to score a goal and to achieve victory. But the game turned out such that at the beginning of the second half we conceded.
Then there was a red card for “Shakhtar.” Of course, it became easier — minus one player, the “miners” retreated to their half, completely giving us the initiative. It became easier to play, and we could show ourselves more than we did in the first half.
— Is this draw a positive result for you?
— Considering how the game unfolded, as we were losing during the match, I think, yes.
