On October 21, as part of the 10th round of the Ukrainian Championship, "Rukh" and "Karpaty" wrote the first chapter of the new Lviv rivalry.
Winning against the "newcomer" in the UPL in their debut match was a goal for "Rukh" throughout the championship. This was not particularly hidden. Vitaliy Ponomaryov's team indeed played a good match, but the only goal by "Karpaty" player Jean Pedroso decided the fate of the match in favor of the "green-whites".
However, according to UA-Football, the management of "Rukh" was satisfied with the actions and performance of their team. As a result, despite the loss, the "Rukh" players received bonuses. Also because the "number two" derby (a cup match against "Karpaty") was approaching. Therefore, it was necessary to improve the atmosphere in the team.
The "bonus" for the victory in the match of the 10th round of the championship was also received by "Karpaty".
