Brunei—a tiny state on the island of Kalimantan (Borneo)—demonstrated the highest degree of humiliation of the non-country called “Russia.” This country’s national team ranks 191st in the FIFA ranking.
Not long ago, the Russian Football Union agreed to hold this epic sparring match on November 15 in Krasnodar. But the comical aspect of the match is not limited to just that.
As it turns out, the game against Russia will not involve Brunei's main national team, whose players are currently on vacation, but rather the reserve team—the Royal Armed Forces team, made up of amateurs. Players from this team play football for fun in their free time and train after 5:00 PM, if there’s a free field available.
