On Friday, November 1, Kyiv «Dynamo» played a match of the 12th round in the Ukrainian championship among youth teams for the 2024/2025 season. The opponents of the «white-blues» were «Inhulets» from Petrovo, located in the Kirovohrad region.

Before the reporting round, the teams occupied diametrically opposite positions in the tournament table. The Dynamo players were in second place in the tournament table, while the Petrovo team was in second to last place, having only one victory since the start of the season.
It was not surprising that from the starting minutes, the hosts went on the attack, hoping to score quickly, but the opponent acted reliably in defending their own possessions. Chances arose in front of the guests' goal with enviable regularity. Bilyi acted on the rebound after a corner kick, but the defender managed to block the shot of the «white-blues» midfielder, Salenko missed the near corner from the penalty area, Andriyko lacked just a little to curl the ball into the far nine from the corner of the penalty area, and Matkevych made an inaccurate shot from the penalty.
Ponomarenko was traditionally active in front. Matviy boldly went for a dribble, including within the penalty area, and in one episode was close to opening the score, but the ball flew past the post after his shot. A little later, the forward twice attempted to score in one moment, but in both cases, the goalkeeper was up to the task.
Rare attempts from the «Inhulets» players to reach the hosts' possessions did not result in shots on goal. The guests also attempted to slow down the pace of the game by employing tactics of minor fouls, and it must be said that they achieved their goal — the moments truly decreased.
With the start of the second half, the Dynamo players took up the task with new vigor, but the guests defended reliably, staying with their entire squad on their own half of the field and even not thinking about attacks, making it extremely difficult for the «white-blues» to break through their defenses. In one episode, Ponomarenko was again close to the goal but could not reach the ball after a cross from the right flank, while Matkevych fouled against the goalkeeper in an attempt to close in.
Finally, the efforts of the Dynamo players were rewarded in the 64th minute. Salenko took a shot from distance, and this strike was effective, forcing the guests' goalkeeper to retrieve the ball from the net — 1:0.
A few minutes later, Salenko had a chance to make a double, but after another shot, the ball went straight to the goalkeeper’s hands. However, Kremchanyn, who came on as a substitute midway through the second half, managed to double the score. Dmytro successfully responded to Ponomarenko's pass and shot past the goalkeeper from close range — 2:0.
After this, the guests' morale dropped, and within two minutes, two more balls flew into their net. First, Redushko beautifully curled the ball from about 20 meters into the far corner, increasing the score to a crushing — 3:0. Then, Ponomarenko finally achieved his goal, with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area forcing the goalkeeper to capitulate — 4:0.
The Dynamo players had no intention of stopping. Ishchenko, with a beautiful shot from long range, placed the ball exactly in the corner — 5:0. In the final minute of the regular time, Kremchanyn closed Dykyy's pass from the byline — 6:0. And the final touch in the match was placed by Ponomarenko, who drove the ball under the crossbar from close range — 7:0.
As a result, an extremely confident victory for «Dynamo» following a «dry» first half. Now all attention turns to the return match of the 2nd round of the UEFA Youth League against the Slovenian «Maribor», which will take place on Wednesday, November 6.
