The main expert on refereeing of the UAF, Nicola Rizzoli, expressed his opinion on the red card received by Shakhtar midfielder Dmytro Krytskyi in the match of the 11th round of the Ukrainian championship against Dynamo (1:1).
“The Shakhtar player, trying to fight with the opponent for the ball, is late and jumps with his right leg extended with studs into the Dynamo player. A strike with great force hits the shin and threatens the player's safety, while not having the opportunity to play the ball. The referee's decision to punish this dynamic violation with a red card is impeccable,” Rizzoli told the UAF.
It is worth mentioning that the CDC has suspended Dmytro Krytskyi for this foul for 2 matches.
