Goalkeeper of “Karpaty” and the youth national team of Ukraine Yakiv Kinareikin could have become a player for the Spanish club “Valladolid” this summer.
The Spaniards were interested in the goalkeeper’s transfer, however, Kinareikin declined, as he had agreed on a contract with “Karpaty” and expected to become the first-choice goalkeeper for the Lviv club.
“Valladolid” competes in La Liga. This summer, they strengthened their goalkeeping position with two new goalkeepers. The team welcomed Portuguese Andre Ferreira from “Granada” and Estonian Karl Hein from “Arsenal”.
21-year-old Kinareikin moved from “Dnipro-1” to “Karpaty” this summer, signing a contract for 2 years. In the current season, Yakiv has played 1 match, losing the competition to Oleksandr Kemkin. It is worth noting that Kinareikin has been called up to both the youth and Olympic national teams of Ukraine.
