Interim head coach of Manchester United Ruud van Nistelrooy will stay at the club as an assistant to Ruben Amorim, who will start working with the "Red Devils" on November 11. The specialist’s words are quoted by the press service of the English club.
“I thought it all through well when I made the decision to come to MU as an assistant coach. I felt that I wanted to be part of this journey with the club. I have clear ambitions that need to be managed. I decided to sign a two-year contract as an assistant, and I am still in the mood to stay in this position,” Van Nistelrooy said.
Van Nistelrooy joined Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff in the summer, and after his dismissal, he temporarily took charge of the team at the end of October.
Recall that Manchester United announced the appointment of Ruben Amorim as head coach of the team on November 1. The deal with the 39-year-old specialist is set to last until the summer of 2027 with an option to extend for another year.
