FC "Dynamo" Kyiv and the Surkis Brothers Foundation continue the restoration of the Center for Orphan Diseases and Gene Therapy for children at the Kyiv hospital Okhmatdyt, which was damaged as a result of a missile strike on July 8.
As of today, a complete dismantling of the flooring has been carried out, as well as the plumbing fixtures have been replaced and all windows changed. Doors have already been delivered to the unit, but their installation will take place after the floor is leveled by laying a self-leveling layer.
These are just the first, interim results of the work as of early November. In total, Dynamo and the Surkis Brothers Foundation will carry out a major overhaul of the entire unit, which will include not only the replacement of windows and doors but also leveling of the floor, replacement of plumbing, installation of new tiles, new lighting, and other works for the complete restoration of the destroyed unit.
We remind you that Okhmatdyt is the largest children's hospital in Ukraine and one of the largest in Europe. It is a multidisciplinary diagnostic and treatment facility that provides highly specialized medical care to the child population of Ukraine. Children from all corners of our country come here for treatment.
As a result of the treacherous, cynical shelling by Russian inhuman beings on the morning of July 8, Ukrainian cities were severely affected, leading to numerous damages and casualties among the civilian population. In particular, following the explosion of one of the missiles, significant destruction was inflicted on the buildings of the Okhmatdyt children's hospital.
FC "Dynamo" (Kyiv) and the Foundation could not remain indifferent to another crime against our people by Russian terrorists, as they have been systematically helping this hospital and its little patients for a long time.
In addition to rebuilding the hospital unit, the Surkis Brothers Foundation and FC "Dynamo" continue to implement humanitarian projects and provide daily assistance to Okhmatdyt with food, water, and all necessities. Vehicles with aid constantly run between the club and the hospital, delivering important loads.
For a long time, our club and the Foundation have supported Okhmatdyt. In recent months, they have delivered several large shipments of humanitarian aid and products for children to the hospital.
