Defender of “Polissya” Bohdan Mykhailychenko became the antihero of his team in the central match of the 13th round of the Ukrainian championship against Kyiv’s “Dynamo”. The team led by Imad Ashur lost in the capital of Ukraine with a score of 1:2, and Mykhailychenko was sent off at the end of the first half due to two warnings.

— Bohdan, it is clear that the match “Dynamo” — “Polissya” was extremely important for both teams. What is the main reason for the defeat in this game?
— I agree that the match was extremely important for both teams. We prepared thoroughly for this meeting, and I think we played a good match. However, if the opponent reaches our goal twice and scores two goals, then we have big problems. Regarding my red card, I would like to apologize to my team. In general, I do not believe that there were warnings in those episodes. In the second half, the team played with a disadvantage. It was hard for the guys, but I would like to thank them for their selflessness.
— Did you disagree with the first yellow card that Vitaly Romanov issued to you?
— I touched the opponent, but if we are going to give yellow cards for the slightest touches. I don’t know… In the second episode, I didn’t go in with a straight leg; it was a game moment. For example, in the second half, Rubchynskyi played quite roughly against our player — there was no yellow card.
— With the score at 0:2, did you think that it was possible to equalize the game?
— That thought appeared when Oleksiy Hutsulyak scored one goal. We had chances. Still, the guys did great since playing with a disadvantage for a whole half is very hard.
— Polissya is already 10 points behind the leaders. Does this affect your self-esteem?
— Of course. We had two important matches — against Oleksandriya and today. We need to work more and try to gain as many points as possible.
— In the locker room after the final whistle, do the players of Polissya feel depressed?
— Yes, of course. We lost, and that explains everything.
