The U-17 youth team of Ukraine (players not older than 2008) will play two friendly matches against the Croatia team in Rijeka. From November 9 to 16, the U-17 youth team of Ukraine will hold a training camp in Croatia. There, the blue and yellow will play two matches against local peers. The matches are scheduled for the 12th and 14th. The head coach of our team, Yuriy Moroz, spoke about the team’s plans at this stage of preparation.
— At this training camp, we want to improve the quality of the players’ game, what we have been working on lately, — said Mr. Yuriy. — We also plan to take a look at the newcomers we have not stopped monitoring. Currently, these players meet the level of the team, that is why they are with us. For these guys — and not just for them, but for all players — this is another chance to prove their professional suitability.
At the same time, our coaching staff is already about 70-80% certain about the squad for the official matches. Who that is — let it be a question for the team itself, so the players keep themselves in shape.
As for the upcoming friendlies against the Croatian national team, I can say that we don’t have too much information, but we do have some. And we will definitely show and tell our players during the theoretical session. I can say one thing: we are expecting tough matches, this is a very strong opponent. Result? We will not set the task of winning at all costs. For us, the quality of the game is very important, and if we also manage to achieve the desired result, then it will be great.
