Mateo Retegui named best player of October in Serie A

The best player of October in the Italian championship has been recognized as Atalanta striker Mateo Retegui.

During the past month, the 25-year-old forward played four matches in Serie A, scoring six goals and making two assists. In the voting, Retegui outperformed Yasin Adli of Fiorentina, Francisco Conceição of Juventus, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia of Napoli, and Nuno Tavares of Lazio.

After 12 rounds of the Italian championship, Retegui leads the scoring race with 11 goals, ahead of nearest rival Moise Kean of Fiorentina by three goals.
