Today is a significant day for several well-known individuals who are closely connected to football.
Viktor Tsygankov (1997) — midfielder of the Ukrainian national team and the Spanish "Girona". Previously played for Kyiv's "Dynamo". He was born in the city of Nahariya in Israel to a family of football goalkeeper Vitaliy Tsygankov, who was playing in the championship of that country at the time. After his father's career ended, the Tsygankov family returned to his native Vinnytsia, where Viktor began playing football at the local sports school.
In November 2010, Ivan Terletskiy invited Tsygankov to the Kyiv "Dynamo" Academy, while Donetsk's "Shakhtar" was also interested in the player, but Viktor decided to go to the capital. At the Dynamo Academy, Tsygankov had a chance to play under the guidance of Pavlo Kikot, Andriy Biba, Yuriy Yeskin, and Oleksiy Drotsenko.
In the national team, Tsygankov made his debut on November 12, 2016, in a match against the Finnish national team held in Odesa.
John Heitinga (1983) — former defender of "Ajax" and the Netherlands national team. He also played for clubs such as Berlin's "Hertha", Madrid's "Atletico", and Liverpool's "Everton". In his national team, he is a bronze medalist of Euro 2004 and a silver medalist of the latest World Cup held in South Africa. He played a total of 87 matches for the national team, scoring 7 goals. He is currently part of Arne Slot's coaching staff at "Liverpool".
Vladimir Yezerskiy (1976) — former Ukrainian footballer who played as a defender. During his career, Yezerskiy had played for many domestic clubs, including Kyiv's "Dynamo", Dnipropetrovsk's "Dnipro", and Donetsk's "Shakhtar". He participated in the 2006 World Cup with the Ukrainian national team, reaching the quarter-finals. In total, Yezerskiy played 39 matches for the Ukrainian national team, scoring 2 goals. He currently works on Unaí Melgosa's coaching staff for the Ukrainian youth national team.
