UAF President Andriy Shevchenko commented forSuspilneon the victory of the Ukrainian national team over Albania (2: 1) in the final round of the Nations League.
Andriy Shevchenko- "1000 days of full-scale war was a strong motivation for the guys. I want to thank all our soldiers, boys and girls who are defending our country. I think the team wanted to make a strong gift to the country. We had a very good first half, and in the second half we withstood and showed serious character. We are finishing this year, it is very important that we made it to the playoffs, and we are moving on.
Next year, we have big tasks, we will wait for the draw, which group we will be in. I want to thank our guys and the soldiers who are fighting for our country once again. I think the team is only getting stronger. I wish them to prepare and show their best football next year," Shevchenko said.
