Diego Simeone became the first coach in La Liga to manage 700 matches for one club

The head coach of Madrid's Atlético, Diego Simeone, has reached his 700th match in charge of the club.

Thus, the 54-year-old Simeone became the first coach in the history of La Liga to manage 700 official matches for a team. In those 700 matches, Simeone has achieved 413 victories, drawn 156 times, and suffered 131 defeats.

Simeone took charge of the Madrid team in December 2011.
