Former Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri acknowledged that leaving the London club after just one season at Stamford Bridge was one of the biggest mistakes of his career.
"I could have stayed at Chelsea. I wanted to return to Italy because the situation at Chelsea was complicated. There was no sporting director, so the situation was unclear. I wanted to return to Italy, but it was a mistake.
England is the highest level for players, for teams, for clubs, for stadiums, for fans. I am ready to return to the Premier League. I do not yet know where, but I and my staff are ready," Sarri is quoted by The Sun.
Let us remind you that Sarri left Chelsea at the end of the 2018-2019 season, returning to Italy and taking over as head coach of Juventus.
