Van Dijk has agreed with Liverpool on a contract extension

It seems that Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has managed to agree on the terms of a new contract with the Merseysiders, reports TBR Football.

According to the source, the 33-year-old Liverpool defender has reached an agreement with the club's bosses regarding the contract extension. At least, the parties have managed to come to terms on most issues. Therefore, the extension of the contract between van Dijk and Liverpool is just a matter of time. It could take place on December 27, the same day in 2017 when Liverpool officially announced the acquisition of van Dijk.

It is worth noting that Liverpool's current deal with van Dijk is set to run until the summer of 2025.
