On Thursday, December 5, a draw procedure for the Euro 2026 U-19 qualifying round will take place in Nyon, Switzerland.
Photo: uefa.comThe draw will start at 10:00 Kyiv time. During the draw, 52 teams will be divided into 13 groups of four participants each. The host of the final tournament, the Wales national team, has received a pass to this tournament automatically, and the Spain national team will enter the competition in the elite round of qualifications.
Based on the results of the qualifying round, the two best teams from each group, as well as the best team among those finishing in third place, will join Spain in the elite round. This will take place in the spring of 2026 and will determine seven teams from seven groups that will accompany Wales in the final part of Euro 2026 U-19.
The youth national team of Ukraine (currently U-18, players born in 2007) has qualified for pot 1 before the draw of the Euro 2026 U-19 qualifying round based on the UEFA ranking formed from the results of this age category in the last four seasons.
Composition of Pots for Euro 2026 (U-19) Qualifying Round
Each quartet will consist of one team from each pot.
Pot 1: Italy, France, Portugal, Norway, England, Israel, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Ireland, Denmark, Turkey, Romania, Serbia.
Pot 2: Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Greece, Slovakia, Iceland, Croatia, Poland, Austria, Scotland, Hungary, Switzerland, Northern Ireland.
Pot 3: Slovenia, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Finland, Latvia, Sweden, Armenia, Malta, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Belarus, Cyprus, Bulgaria.
Pot 4: Azerbaijan, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Albania, Andorra, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Liechtenstein, San Marino, Gibraltar.
The hosts of mini-tournaments in each group will be determined after the draw. Matches in each mini-tournament will take place in one of the following windows:
September 1-9, 2025;
October 6-14, 2025;
November 10-18, 2025.
