Former footballer of Odessa "Chornomorets", Moscow "Spartak" and other clubs Yuri Nikiforov suggested when the Russian national team, expelled from all international tournaments in 2002, might return to world football.
Yuri Nikiforov“We all understand perfectly well that we should not expect this today or tomorrow. In my opinion, the nearest window for such a return is 2028−2030. Then, perhaps, something will really change,” said Nikiforov on the air of the YouTube channel "Spartak Show".
Let us remind you that the Russian national team is already out of several major tournaments — World Cup 2022, Euro 2024, World Cup 2026, as well as two editions of the Nations League.
