On Thursday, December 5, in Nyon, Switzerland, the draw procedure for the Euro 2026 (U-19) qualifying round took place.
Photo uefa.com52 teams were divided into 13 groups of four participants each. The host of the final stage, the Wales national team, received an automatic entry to the tournament, while the Spain national team will join the fight in the elite qualifying round.
According to the results of the qualifying round, the two best teams from each group, as well as the best national team among those who finish in third place, will join Spain in the elite round. This will take place in the spring of 2026, and in seven groups, seven teams will be determined to join Wales in the final part of Euro 2026 (U-19).
The youth team of Ukraine (currently U-18, players born in 2007) was placed in pot 1 based on the UEFA ranking, formed based on the results of this age category in the last four seasons, prior to the draw of the Euro 2026 (U-19) qualifying round.
As a result of the draw, the blue-and-yellows found themselves in Group 5, where they will face Slovakia, Montenegro, and Albania.
