The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree on the imposition of sanctions against the pro-Russian authorities of Georgia. In total, sanctions have been imposed against 19 individuals, including former Dynamo Kyiv footballer Kakha Kaladze. The restrictions were introduced due to the suppression of protests in Georgia against the refusal to negotiate joining the EU. The duration of the sanctions is 10 years.
Kakha Kaladze“I have just signed a decree that enforces the NSDC resolution on sanctions. These are sanctions against that part of the government in Georgia that is surrendering Georgia to Putin. Ukraine has sanctioned Ivanishvili and his accomplices - 19 people. Those who are selling the interests of Georgia and its people. And we call on Europe, America, everyone in the world to act likewise - to act decisively,” said Zelensky.
