On this day, exactly 30 years ago, the legendary striker of Kyiv’s Dynamo, Andriy Shevchenko, scored his first goal in the Champions League.
Recall that on December 7, 1994, Dynamo met Bayern in Kyiv. In the 37th minute of the match, 18-year-old Shevchenko opened the scoring with a wonderful long-range shot. Unfortunately, this debut goal did not help the "white-blues" achieve a positive result. The Munich giant, thanks to goals from Nerlinger, Pappen (twice), and Scholl, ultimately won 4:1.
