In the voting for the MVP of the year, which included players, media, and club staff, Messi narrowly outpaced Juan Hernandez of Columbus Crew — 38.43% to 33.7%.

As a reminder, Messi played 22 matches with Inter Miami this season. The Argentinian has scored 21 goals and provided 11 assists.
