Midfielder of Alexandria Artem Kozak commented on his team’s defeat to Dynamo Kyiv (0:3) in yesterday’s match of the 16th round of the Ukrainian Championship.
“Perhaps the first goal broke our game plan, but the second goal was also a turning point in a way—it knocked the wind out of us.
In general, it all came down to certain moments. We needed to convert our chances and respond to Dynamo. As you saw, today our opponent’s finishing was at a good level, while we failed to convert our own chances. It all simply came down to finishing. Kovalets could have scored, as could Bezerra. There were other good opportunities too. In such matches, finishing decides everything.
We also needed to maintain concentration when losing the ball, to strive to get it back as quickly as possible. In this regard, we failed the game in some moments.
But it's okay, we need to keep working and move on. Today we got a lesson and I think we will take the most from it, learn something,” said Kozak on the FootballHub YouTube channel.
