At the match of the 16th round of the Ukrainian championship between "Dynamo" and "Alexandria", a charity event "Playing for" took place.
Photo: fcdynamo.comThe initiative of FC "Dynamo" (Kyiv) is aimed at supporting servicemen who risk their lives every day to defend Ukraine. Through a symbolic gesture - playing for a specific soldier - the players aimed to express gratitude and draw public attention to the feats of our Defenders.
Before the match, the players wore specially prepared t-shirts with the inscription "Playing for (name and surname of the soldier)". These t-shirts were previously signed by the soldiers for whom they would play, and the Defenders themselves were present in the stands at that time.
The charity action was dedicated to the servicemen of the 46th Separate Air Assault Brigade, for whom a tour of the stadium was also conducted, showcasing the most hidden corners of the legendary arena. Among them:
Yaroslav Chernishev - soldier, has been fighting in the Kurakhove direction since May 2024. He was injured in the hand and is undergoing rehabilitation.
Oleksandr Durniev - soldier, has been participating in battles since 2023, awarded for saving comrades in battle near Maryinka.
Victor Hobovda - soldier, worked in evacuation teams in the Donetsk and Zaporizhia directions. He is undergoing treatment after being wounded.
Oleksandr Pidkovenko - senior soldier, has been fighting since 2014, defended positions under Heorhiivka for over 40 days, awarded the "Golden Cross".
Vitaliy Savinsky - junior sergeant, injured both legs while performing a combat mission, showing incredible spirit strength.
Serhiy Polohovskyi - senior soldier, participant of the ATO and defense of Mariupol, is currently undergoing rehabilitation after injuries.
Ivan Kvasha - junior sergeant, commanded assault groups, awarded the "Golden Cross" for heroism.
Dmytro Chukhrii - senior soldier, defender of Mariupol since 2014, awarded a medal for the defense of the city.
Vasyl Tsynevskyi - soldier, participant of fierce battles in the Zaporizhia campaign, engaged in the evacuation of comrades.
Maxym Kravchenko - soldier who performed combat missions in the 46th brigade, awarded the "Golden Cross".
Anatoliy Medvedev - was wounded near Kurakhove, awarded the "Silver Cross" for courage.
After the game, the players approached the military, signed their game t-shirts, and gifted them to the servicemen. Later, each of the Dynamo players will publish stories about the soldiers for whom they played, calling for support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and specifically - for the soldier of the 46th air assault brigade for whom he played.
This action is not just a gesture of support but a recognition of the feats of the servicemen who have become an example of courage for the whole world. Through the initiative "Playing for", FC "Dynamo" (Kyiv) demonstrates the unity of sport and the defenders of Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of memory and respect for Heroes.
