The goalkeeper of Munich’s Bayern, Manuel Neuer, is out for the rest of the year due to a broken rib sustained in the match against Bayer Leverkusen in the Round of 16 of the German Cup. This was reported by the head coach of the German club, Vincent Kompany, at a press conference before the 6th round of the Champions League match against Donetsk’s Shakhtar.
Neuer was injured during an incident with Jeremie Frimpong when the goalkeeper knocked the opponent down outside the penalty area and received a red card for the first time in his career.
“I hope he returns in January. It’s not that bad,” cited Kompany's words by Sport.de.
