The first gathering in the history of the youngest national team of Ukraine, U-15, has begun. The “blue and yellow” will compete in the UEFA Development Tournament in Portugal. Our team will face Italy and Turkey, in addition to the hosts.
Dmytro MykhailenkoThe head coach of this team, Dmytro Mykhailenko, commented on this gathering:
— The expectations are very positive. This is the first tournament in which U-15 players participate. Therefore, I think they will enjoy playing in such company, strive to showcase all their talents, and aim to win.
As for the plans regarding the training process, our staff wants to get to know the players born in 2010 better, introduce them to the playing idea and philosophy, and review more performers playing abroad. We also want to assess the level of our young players against the leading football countries in Europe. We have little information about the opponents, so we will study them directly during the competitions.
