The universal player of Kyiv’s «Dynamo» Oleksandr Karavaev shared his expectations from the match of the 6th round of the main stage of the Europa League against the Spanish «Real Sociedad», which will take place tomorrow in San Sebastián.
Oleksandr Karavaev— This weekend, «Dynamo» confidently defeated «Oleksandriya» in the Ukrainian championship. What is the team's mood right now?
— Of course, the mood is positive, fighting, because for us every game is like a holiday. We are preparing properly and looking forward to tomorrow’s game.
— You’ve probably already studied the opponent's game. What strong and weak qualities have you identified?
— Of course, we have already watched the matches of the opponent during theoretical classes; the coaching staff showed us the actions of the «Real Sociedad» players in attack and defense. We have drawn conclusions. They are a very strong team in terms of individual technical qualities, very good players, plus well-coordinated in team actions. But we have analyzed and looked at where we can play to our strengths, so we are looking forward to tomorrow’s game to demonstrate it on the field.
— What does participating in the Europa League mean to you?
— We should show our best qualities as a team in general and each player individually in their position. This is international experience against opponents who play in top championships. And you test yourself against such teams. You can say it’s a good test for us.
