Today, December 13, the draw for the 2026 World Cup qualification among European national teams took place in Zurich.

Before the start of the draw procedure, a map of Europe was shown with an explanation that some teams would be separated into different groups, and on this map, the Crimea peninsula, occupied by Russia, was not marked as part of Ukraine.
