Recall that according to the results of the 2026 World Cup qualifying cycle, 12 group winners will receive direct tickets to the final part of the World Cup. 12 teams that finish in second place in their groups, as well as 4 best group winners of the 2024/25 Nations League who find themselves below second place in the 2026 World Cup qualifying groups, will form the playoff round, and in it, the remaining 4 tickets to the World Cup will be contested.
