As part of the 17th round of the Ukrainian championship among youth teams, Kyiv’s "Dynamo" hosted Rivne’s "Veres" at their home ground. This was the concluding match of our team in the first part of the season before the winter break.

Recall that in the first round match, which took place away in Rivne, the teams played a 1:1 draw. It should also be noted that after 16 rounds, Dynamo had earned 41 points and was in second place in the standings, while "Veres" collected 22 points and was in 9th place. The current match turned out to be interesting, spectacular, and fruitful.
Dynamo players, as always, actively started the meeting and took possession of the ball, moving the game to the opponent’s goal. Already in the 2nd minute, Ponomarenko, after a pass from Salenko, somehow missed the goal frame. From the first minutes, the Kyivans applied pressure both on their half of the field and the opponent’s. Salenko made the goalkeeper nervous when he took a shot from outside the penalty area into the right corner — Kulyk managed to deflect the ball for a corner with a jump. And our team used this standard situation as effectively as possible: Kremchanyn delivered a corner kick, and Ponomarenko headed the ball into the net to put his team ahead — 1:0.
A few minutes later, the same Ponomarenko extended the hosts' lead when, capitalizing on a great partner's pass, he redirected the ball into the net from a few meters — 2:0. Having ensured a comfortable score, the Kyivans did not slow down. Kremchanyn crossed from the right to Ponomarenko, but after Matviy's shot, the goalkeeper seized the ball. Overall, the game took place on the half of the Rivne side, with guest players regularly threatening through Ponomarenko, Salenko, Kremchanyn from the penalty spot, while Kulyk managed to deflect the ball for a corner with just the tips of his fingers.
It should be noted that our goalkeeper Surkis had to intervene in the game several times, notably performing well on exits after the opponent's crosses into the penalty area. And at the end of the first half, the score was increased to three by Ishchenko, who went into pressing, capitalized on the goalkeeper's mistake, and rolled the ball into the empty net — 3:0.
In the second half, the game pattern changed little — "Dynamo" U19 continued to possess the game and territorial advantage and created noticeably more moments near the opponent's goal. In particular, Kremchanyn, Ponomarenko, and Osipenko found themselves in shooting positions, but our players were a bit unlucky, as the goalkeeper and the Rivne defense line acted reliably.
But they proved powerless when Redushko executed a free kick from the left flank. During the delivery into the penalty area, the "Veres" U19 defender failed to reach the ball, and it, without touching anyone, crossed the goal line — 4:0. Subsequently, several more opportunities to increase the score were with Ponomarenko, but he failed to finish off Kremchanyn's and Redushko's passes.
Shortly before the final whistle, the guests managed to score a consolation goal when Volchkov moved the ball to the penalty area and hit the right corner of the goal — 4:1. This result is how the match finished.
