Matvey Ponomarenko set a historic record in the Ukrainian Championship (U-19)

Forward of «Dynamo U-19» Matvey Ponomarenko scored twice against «Veres U-19» in the 17th round of the youth championship of Ukraine and achieved a historic milestone in this tournament.

Matvey broke the scoring record of Vladislav Vanat (36 goals) and became the top scorer in the history of youth championships in Ukraine.

Currently, Ponomarenko has 38 accurate strikes. Among them, 8 goals in this season (the forward missed part of the championship due to injury), 24 goals in the previous championship, and 6 goals in the 2022/2023 season (while playing for «Zarya U-19»).

A few days ago, Matvey Ponomarenko became the top scorer in the history of «Dynamo U-19» performances in the UEFA Youth League (7 goals).
