The head coach of "Dynamo U-19" Igor Kostyuk commented on the home victory over the boys from "Veres" (4:1) and summarized the first part of the season for the "white-blues".
Igor Kostyuk— I am glad that after the UEFA Youth League match we managed to maintain the emotions we had. We came out for the game in a good mood, physically held up, scored our goals, played aggressively — and convincingly won.
— "Veres" — one of the few teams to take points from "Dynamo" this season. Was it crucial to beat them at home?
— Every game for us is for points, every game brings emotions that the players need. They must understand with what attitude to play. What happened in the first round… we drew 1:1 with them, then we had sick players, so we couldn't win. Today, however, everything was put in its place.
— This season the team is participating in the UEFA Youth League, which has resulted in more matches and a lot of time spent on the road. How has this affected the preparation and physical condition of the players?
— I have already said that we do not differentiate games by rank, we must not pay attention to logistics, but always come out in a good mood. We thank our Armed Forces for the opportunity to play today. Logistics have no effect because the UEFA Youth League motivates and energizes the players. What you saw today is like a confirmation of my words.
— The end of the calendar year. What are the immediate plans?
— Now we are going on vacation, the players will receive a training program, and then we will go to the training camp. We are waiting for the draw of the UEFA Youth League, we'll find out who we will get, and we will prepare for the next stage of the European Cup and for the second part of the season in the Ukrainian championship.
— Have you discussed with the first team's coaching staff who from your players will join them at the training camp?
— Certain developments, of course, exist, but this is still at the discussion stage.
