Today, in the final match of the tournament, the Ukrainians faced the Turkish team. At the beginning of the first half, our opponents took territorial advantage, but later the "blue-yellows" leveled the game and created at least three dangerous moments near the Turkish team's goal. Unfortunately, our players could not beat goalkeeper Salchi. At the same time, the Turks had a good chance to score first, but their forward Esad Deniz missed it.
At the beginning of the second half, Dmitry Mykhailenko's team managed to take the lead. In the 53rd minute, Artem Rybak shot from a distance, the goalkeeper parried, but Illya Bodak was the first to react to the rebound - 1:0. Six minutes later, Zakhar Osmukhin burst into the opponent's penalty area from the left flank but was pushed from behind. The referee had no hesitation pointing to the spot, and the fouled player converted the penalty, doubling the "blue-yellows'" lead.
The final touch of the match was made by Ruslan Dyachok, who scored from close range against the Turkish goal. Thus, 3:0 - a victory for the national team of Ukraine, which ultimately took third place in the UEFA Development Tournament.
