Deputy General Director of “Dynamo” Sergiy Mokhnyk commented on the real state of affairs regarding the club's participation in the single pool of UPL and the unclear comments of president of “Veres” Ivan Nadiyien.

— I wanted to say that these comments surprised me, but in fact, they did not surprise me. To provide a competent evaluation of the events surrounding the single pool, one must, at a minimum, possess information and understand the issue being commented on.
The football club “Dynamo” (Kyiv) has a long-term contract with “1+1 media” regarding the broadcast of our home matches. We met “UPL TV” halfway, negotiated with “1+1 media” and reached a compromise. But for some, this is not enough, and speculation about the brand “Dynamo” (Kyiv) starts again. I believe this is inappropriate and incompetent on the part of the president of “Veres.” We do not understand at all why this topic is being discussed. During the negotiations with UPL and UPL TV, we clearly and unequivocally explained the conditions under which the rights to our home matches could be transferred.
Our conditions were so simple and understandable that they were unanimously accepted by all UPL clubs, including “Veres,” the league management, and the management of “UPL TV.” This was a significant compromise on our part, and in response, we hear some unclear claims a few months later. Perhaps someone thought that the presence of “Dynamo” would automatically guarantee them significant profits, but there is reality, which differs from expectations.
Our main condition was to broadcast “Dynamo” matches freely on the club's YouTube channel and the “2+2” channel. The sole purpose of this is to give all fans of the team the opportunity to watch games for free and in full volume during the war. What moral right do we have to ask for money for the broadcasts of our matches from our military, fans who today are defending our country from Russian aggression? We should ask them to watch our matches, to cheer for us, because for FC “Dynamo” (Kyiv) this is an honor!
If Mr. Nadiyien suddenly has memory problems, I can remind him that he personally agreed with our position. How? I will explain. His club voted for the current version of the regulations and all the normative rules of cooperation between “UPL TV” and all clubs. If there was disagreement with our position, then why accept the rules of the game, and then publicly express dissatisfaction? What the president of “Veres” said is a cheap attempt to “hype” at the expense of our club. “Dynamo” is a people's football club. And we will always do everything for our people.
We have the largest audience in this country; it is our matches that generate the highest television ratings, and we have the right to use this for the development of our club system.
For many years, we have been doing everything possible to increase the number of fans, so that they have the opportunity to watch our matches, of all levels. This applies to the main team, “Dynamo” U19, our teams in the Youth Football League. We do not have the goal of collecting 35 hryvnias for the broadcast of the U19 team match; rather, our mission is to ensure that as many people as possible can watch matches of all our teams without issues. Such openness helps us gather several million views monthly on our YouTube channel.
I emphasize — only after the war ends will we discuss the commercial component of broadcasts, but definitely not now.
Considering all of the above, if the president of the football club “Veres” considers it unfair, he has all the opportunities to demonstrate, using his club as an example, how to educate players for Ukraine's national teams from U15 to the national team, elevate his own football infrastructure to a European level, gather the largest audience in the country, and sign profitable television contracts. If necessary, our club is always ready to share similar experiences with him.
