The head coach of the Ukrainian national team, Sergiy Rebrov, spoke about his work as vice president of UAF.

He explained that I would be doing the same as I did in “Dynamo” — the structure of the national teams. What I did in “Dynamo” with U-21, U-19, U-17. Focus only on this and help with my experience in any issues that arise in the football federation.
Therefore, I agreed. If Andriy Mykolayovych gave me this job — I am responsible for it, I understand what is going on with the national team, the youth team. I will never intrude where I do not understand.
We are constantly in contact with all the coaches. I constantly watch matches of U-21, U-19, U-17, I am in touch with Unai, with Dima Mykhailenko, with Yura Moroz, with all the coaches that are. I like it. I think I can definitely handle it. I am responsible for this.
I am very pleased that when we started working, all our teams qualified for the European Championship, made it to the elite rounds. The result is very important, but for us, it is even more important that when a player moves, for example, from U-17 to U-19, he does not face many obstacles. So that the teams play in a similar way, so that the requirements for the player in this position are approximately the same.
The style of play may change, even the scheme — two or three center-backs — but the requirements for the position, the requirements in attack, defense, and collective play — it is very important that everyone works under the same structure.
As we did in “Dynamo.” Almost after every training session, we all were at the base, the coaches gathered and shared impressions after trainings and games. It is equally important to do the same in the national teams because today a player plays in U-17, and tomorrow he will move to U-19. And the coach will know much more about this player if he talks and shares emotions about what happened in training and in the game,” Rebrov said.
