In December 2024, the team of footballers born in 2010 was gathered for the first time, under the guidance of Dmytro Mykhailenko, and participated in the UEFA Development Tournament in Portugal. In this competition, there was the possibility to register four players born in 2009, which our coaches also took advantage of.
Photo: uaf.uaThe results pleasantly surprised — after a loss to the hosts, there was a hard-fought draw with Italy and a significant victory over Turkey. As a result, Mykhailenko's team finished third among the four participants and gained very valuable experience.
It is worth noting the rather low number of representatives from foreign clubs in this national team compared to other youth teams. Perhaps we will see more legionnaires in 2025.

The first official tournament for this team, the Euro-2027 U-17 qualifiers, will begin in the fall of 2026. Therefore, the youngest youth team of Ukraine has time for proper selection before starting in UEFA competitions.
