Jesus Navas has retired from professional football

The match of the 18th round of the Spanish championship between Real Madrid and Sevilla (4:2) was the last for the Andalusian defender Jesus Navas.

The 39-year-old footballer came on the field in the 65th minute to loud applause from the Santiago Bernabeu. In September, Navas announced that he would retire at the end of the year.

Before the start of the match, players from both teams formed a guard of honor for Navas, and he was presented with a Real Madrid shirt signed by all the first-team players.
