Last week it became known that due to debts to its players, the Odesa "Chornomorets" received a transfer ban from FIFA. Among those affected who decided to file a lawsuit against "Chornomorets" in the relevant legal instances are legionnaires Luka Huchyk, Samson Iede, Zigi Badibanga, and Ukrainian Orest Kuzyk.

“This ban was due to debts during the team’s performance in the previous season. I understand well that this is bad, and everyone at the club is currently working on this issue. In the winter period, we want to strengthen with quality players, and how much we can achieve this — we will see.
But so far, for our club, the transfer ban is a serious problem. Especially when we want to solve the task of climbing higher in the league table to take a position no lower than that which "Chornomorets" had at the end of the last season.”
