Former assistant to the sports director of Donetsk’s Shakhtar, Italian specialist Carlo Nicolini shared his opinion about Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbik of Roma.
Carlo Nicolini«I’ve liked Dovbik for a long time. I recommended him to Italians back when he was playing in Ukraine. However, Dovbik moved to Italy much later, and Roma paid a significant sum for him (30.5 million euros, — editor’s note), so now there's a greater expectation from him.
Perhaps Dovbik has not yet demonstrated his true potential in Italy, but he is an important player, a striker with unique characteristics, and there aren't many like him. I’m talking about his strength, how he plays with his head, as well as his ability to make penetrating runs. He isn't the savior of the whole team, but he is a player of the highest level,» — said Nicolini in an interview with Sportitalia.
