The management of Madrid’s “Real” has decided to change the name of its stadium “Santiago Bernabéu”, reports Marca.
In the near future, the arena will be called “Bernabéu”. The decision is driven by commercial considerations. The name of the stadium has already been changed on the official website of the institution.
“Bernabéu” was built in 1947, and until 1955, it was called “Nuevo Estadio Chamartín”. Since 2019, the arena has been undergoing a large-scale reconstruction — the third in its history.
