Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo is convinced that players have an excessively busy match schedule, especially young footballers.
"I want to say that clubs need to have a different attitude towards footballers. Especially young ones. For example, like Yamal or Bellingham. We understand that clubs utilize their talents to achieve success, and that’s normal. But they need to be taken care of, not forced to play 70 matches a season, including national teams.
It seems to me that players need to train less to deal with this. Training smarter is necessary, arranging work in a way that can withstand the schedule and train less, but more intellectually, with a scientific approach," said Ronaldo.
