Before the winter break in the Ukrainian championship of the 2024/25 season, 17 rounds were held. Ahead — another 13, but for now, we summarize the statistical results of the first part of the season.
"Dynamo" is the "winter champion", having collected 43 points in 17 matches and ahead of "Oleksandria" by five points.
In 17 matches, the "white-blues" secured 13 victories, drew 4 times, and have yet to lose a match. "Dynamo" is the only team that has not suffered a defeat in the championship before the winter break.
"Dynamo" after 17 rounds: +13=4—0; goal difference — 37:11; 43 points from 51 possible (84%).
Dynamo players occupy the second place in terms of scoring (37 goals), while they have conceded the fewest goals among all UPL teams — 11.
In terms of xG (expected goals) — 29.3 — the Kyivans occupy the second place, as well as in terms of xG difference — 11.8 and first in the xPoints (expected points) index — 28.1. The xG against (expected goals conceded) factor is 12.1 and is the best among all UPL clubs.
Of the 37 goals scored by Dynamo players, 6 resulted from long-range shots (16%), 2 were scored from counterattacks (5%), 3 — from set pieces (8%), and another 5 — from direct free kicks and penalties.

The average ball possession rate for the Kyivans is 57%. On average, Dynamo players held the ball before losing it for 17.7 seconds, which is the second-best indicator in the championship.
"Dynamo" ranks second in the league for the average number of passes per match — 474.57 (with 142.96 being forward passes, 181 — lateral passes, 40 — long passes, 70.92 — progressive passes, 53.62 — passes to the final third).
In terms of the average number of crosses per match (14.53), the white-blues rank eighth in the UPL, and for the number of dribbles attempted — sixth (20.02). Meanwhile, "Dynamo" leads in the average number of touches in the opponent's penalty area (24.84).
"Dynamo" is the most disciplined team in the UPL, with the least number of yellow (16) and red (0) cards. On average, Dynamo players foul 9.15 times per match. Their opponents also rarely commit fouls against the Kyivans — on average 8.76 times per game, which is one of the lowest rates in the league.
Among all teams, the Dynamo players engaged in the fewest aerial duels (24.79 per game, 48% won) and made clearances (30 per game).
"White-blues" lead the championship in terms of the number of corner kicks taken (90) and the number of corners that ended in shots (21).
The most crosses from corners went to the near post (37, of which 9 with shots). Next in terms of quantity — in the goalkeeper's zone (24, 5), to the far post (14, 4), short corners (8, 0), and in the area of 11 meters (7, 3).
"Dynamo" is one of the leaders in the UPL for the number of penalties earned (5) and the leader for the number converted (5). However, in terms of the number of direct free kicks, the "white-blues" only rank ninth (6 shots).
Dynamo player Vladyslav Vanat is the top scorer in the UPL, having scored 10 goals (an average of 0.83 per 90 minutes, xG — 5.05).
The best assistant in the Kyivans' squad is Mykola Shaparenko, who has 7 assists. He ranks 1st in the league.
