In the first part of the current season, Yuriy Vernydub increased the number of matches at the helm of various clubs in the elite division of the Ukrainian championship to 295 and became the 6th head coach to reach this milestone.
Vernydub is two games ahead of Mykhailo Fomenko and is also only two matches behind Valeriy Yaremchenko.
We should also highlight Yuriy Maksymov, who has already conducted 211 matches with various clubs and has moved to 12th place.
The historical list of coaches in the Ukrainian championship is led by Myron Markevych – 622 games at the helm of six UPL clubs.
Since March 6, 1992, throughout the history of the Ukrainian championship, 304 head coaches have managed the teams.
