The Spanish team “Girona” held an open training session for its fans yesterday. Ukrainian midfielder Viktor Tsygankov participated in it, but worked separately from the team, following an individual program alongside Justin Garcia.
According to Spanish media, the 27-year-old winger has "made progress in his recovery." His return to full training is expected in early January. It is possible that Tsygankov may be called up for the match of the 19th round of La Liga against “Alaves,” which will take place on January 11.
Let us remind you that on November 23, the Ukrainian appeared on the field for the first time since his injury, which he sustained in early October, and a week later, information emerged that Tsygankov had suffered another injury. Moreover, the midfielder missed the entire pre-season training of "Girona" – at that time he was also recovering from an injury.
As a result, in the current season, Tsygankov has participated in only 10 matches for "Girona," scoring one goal and providing one assist. Additionally, the 27-year-old winger has played in two matches for the Ukrainian national team in the Nations League.
