The head coach of Manchester United, Ruben Amorim, has asked the club’s management to do everything possible to acquire Sporting forward Viktor Dzhokeresh during the winter transfer window.
According to The Daily Mirror, United planned to start negotiations with Sporting for Dzhokeresh’s transfer next summer, but the situation has now changed.
Coach of the Red Devils, Amorim, told the club’s bosses that waiting another six months is not an option, and they need to do their utmost to sign the Swedish forward in January. Such a transfer would allow United to salvage the current disappointing season, as the team is currently close to the relegation zone due to a series of poor results.
It is expected that Sporting, which currently does not wish to sell Dzhokeresh, may ask for as much as 80 million euros for their player. In this case, the Manchester club would only be able to afford such a transfer after selling a few players, including Casemiro and Marcus Rashford.
Recall that in the past 2024 year, Dzhokeresh played 60 matches, scoring 61 goals and also providing 16 assists.
