The Spanish club «Barcelona» has fired a chef from the club’s base after a complaint from the team’s forward Robert Lewandowski about the quality of the food served to players, reports Sport.es.
According to the source, the 36-year-old Pole informed the team’s head coach Hans-Dieter Flick about the poorly cooked eggs that caused him discomfort. After this, the coach of «Barcelona» approached the club’s management with a request to replace the chef with a new one who would meet his high standards.
Previously, Flick had repeatedly emphasized the importance of proper nutrition for players to achieve better performance on the field. After joining «Barcelona», he brought along a nutritionist who develops individual diets for the footballers.
